A soldier is responsible, until his last breath, for protecting the life, security, and dignity of his nation
A message from Colonel Fereydoun Izadseta, a veteran pilot of the Imperial Iranian Air Force and the architect of the H-3 air campaign in the Iran–Iraq War, to the military, law enforcement, and security forces:
"A soldier is, until his last breath, responsible for guarding the life, security, and dignity of his nation. Today the honorable people of Iran are weary but resolute, and they look to you with hope. You wear this uniform to defend your compatriots, not to suppress them. In these sensitive days of history, instead of defending those who order harm and the killing of the children of this land, defend your people! It befits the dignity of a soldier to stand not against the people, but alongside them. Rather than pointing your weapon at them, be their refuge and support."
