Statement From Political Prisoners to Law Enforcement and Military Forces: Stand with the People, Defying Oppression Is Courage

Statement by 37 current and former Iranian political prisoners addressed to the military and law enforcement forces:

We, political prisoners, who have spent years of our lives in the prisons of the Islamic Republic for the crime of standing alongside the people of Iran, speak to you today at a historic moment.

You are children of this very nation. A military or police uniform does not separate you from the people. What will distinguish you in history is the choice you make in these final days of the regime's lifespan.

We know well that many of you joined these forces not to suppress the people, but under an oath to protect the lives, property, and honor of the Iranian nation. Today, that oath carries more meaning than ever.

Now, as Reza Pahlavi, the Heir to the Iranian Nation, has repeatedly emphasized, the moment of decision has arrived.

Standing against the people is neither "doing one's duty" nor "defending the country," it is lining up with a regime that has lost its legitimacy, its future, and its popular support.

Iran's history clearly shows: those who order repression eventually leave, but those who carry it out are left alone before the national conscience and the court of history.

This is a clear warning: every shot fired, every blow struck, and every arrest carried out in the suppression of the people carries individual responsibility and will not be forgotten.

And this is a sincere invitation: remain with the people. Stand alongside the Iranian nation. Refrain from shooting, repression, and carrying out unlawful orders. Today, defying oppression is courage, not a crime.

We, who have experienced prison, torture, and deprivation, state clearly: the forces who join the people in these decisive days will not be enemies, but assets of Iran's future.

Tomorrow's Iran needs professional forces who are patriotic and committed to the nation. Not instruments of repression.

The choice is yours: either alongside a people standing for freedom and human dignity, or alongside a regime whose downfall has begun and from which there is no return.

The Iranian nation is watching. History is being written. And there is still time to stand on the right side of it.
