This decline of 30 to 80 million proves an important reality: the overwhelming majority of the Prince’s supporters are citizens inside Iran. Those who were watching his messages are the same people who today, in the streets across Iran, chant slogans such as “Pahlavi will return” and “Long live the Shah.”
