رضا شاه پهلوی و محمدرضا شاه پهلوی

Message from 70 Current and Former Political Prisoners on the Anniversary of the Passing of Reza Shah and Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi

In the noble name of Iran

“On the arrival of the fourth and fifth of Mordad, the anniversary of the passing into eternity of the Pahlavi kings who built Iran, we offer our condolences to all true Iranians and patriots.

May their name be everlasting and their path well travelled.
Reza Shah, may your soul rest in peace.
Shahanshah Aryamehr, may your soul rest in peace.

Kings who, like a kind and loving father, wished for nothing but the welfare and comfort of the people and the security and prosperity of the land of Iran.

The Pahlavi kings, the fathers of modern Iran, are a symbol for Iranians — a symbol of progress and development, of the transformation of the political, economic, social and civil order, of secularism, modernity, and territorial integrity...

Reza Shah Pahlavi and Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi both chose Iran over their own survival, and so remained forever in the heart of history...

Kings who entrusted the judgment to history, to the people of the land of Iran, and to the world...

Because they knew that in the passage of history they would be the conquerors of the hearts of their good-minded people...

And today there is a generation that loves and adores them, a generation that never saw them!
Yet their memory remains alive in the heart of the noble nation of Iran.
And their name will shine at the summit of this ancient land’s history so brilliantly, for all eternity, that the enemies and the demons will remain forever bewildered by the echo of it.

Without doubt, the renewed bond between the King and the nation can save Iran and bring it once again to the gates of civilisation.
That day will come soon, and light will triumph over darkness.

“Long must the aged father of the heavens live
before the mother of the world bears another child like you.”

Long live Iran
Javid Shah
