Warning by Hamidreza Dorostkar, Political Prisoner, from Sheiban Prison About the Condition of the National Uprising’s Detainees
Hamidreza Dorostkar, a political prisoner, has warned about the condition of those detained during the Lion and Sun Revolution, saying in an audio message from Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz that a large number of young people and teenagers face heavy sentences on fabricated charges.
The political prisoner opened his message with the words "In the name of Iran," and said: "A large number of those detained during the national uprising of 18 and 19 Dey who are held in Sheiban Prison are mainly young people and teenagers who, caught in a vicious cycle of the ruling system, are facing sentences of 10, 15 and 20 years in prison through an unjust and staged court and judicial process, coupled with fabricated charges and contrary to human rights."
He also emphasized that the families of the detainees, "out of fear that heavy sentences and even execution" will be handed down to them, are selling their property and farmland in order to "spend it on bribes" and to secure legal counsel.
Hamidreza Dorostkar also honored the memory of "the honorable lawyers, the immortalized of the homeland, Khosrow Alikordi, Maryam Arvin and Mohabbat Mozaffari," and closed his message by adding: "Long live Iran! May the tricolor flag of Iran bearing the Lion and Sun fly high!"
